We're a family-owned business, and Africafe started the way a lot of good things do — with a cup of coffee that stopped us in our tracks. Smooth, a little complex, unlike the instant coffee we thought we knew. We wanted more of it. Then we wanted everyone we knew to try it.
Where it comes from
Our coffee is grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, and made with know-how that's been passed down through generations. The altitude and the mineral-rich soil up there do something you can taste: the cup comes out low-acid and easy to drink, morning after morning. That was the coffee that became our daily ritual, and then it became our mission.
The part that bugged us
As good as it was, real Africafe was almost impossible to find in North America. We kept hearing from people across the US, Canada, and Mexico who were hunting for it and coming up empty. We figured we could fix that.
From Kilimanjaro to your door
So we did the unglamorous part. We set up a warehouse in Houston, Texas, kept it stocked, and made shipping quick and dependable. No long waits, no guesswork — just genuine Tanzanian instant coffee sent straight to you.
